2026 Nissan Pathfinder Interior, Trims, and Pricing at Empire Nissan
The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder arrives refreshed for the new model year — same proven 3.5L V6 powertrain, but with a new standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration on every trim, and updated styling inside and out. Empire Nissan stocks the full Pathfinder lineup at our Ontario showroom, serving families across Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and the broader Inland Empire.

Interior Space & Seating Configurations
Standard seating across the lineup is an eight-passenger configuration with a second-row bench and a third-row bench. Available on the Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trims, second-row captain’s chairs reduce capacity to seven and create a center aisle for easier third-row access — a useful upgrade for families who regularly use all three rows or routinely install car seats in the second row.
2026 Pathfinder Interior Dimensions
| Measurement | 1st Row | 2nd Row | 3rd Row |
|---|---|---|---|
| Headroom | 42.3″ | 39.6″ | 37.8″ |
| Legroom | 44.3″ | 35.5″ | 28.0″ |
Total passenger volume measures 148.5 cubic feet. Front-row legroom of 44.3 inches comfortably accommodates taller drivers and passengers, while the second row offers competitive headroom for adults on longer drives. The third row is best suited for children or shorter trips around Ontario and the surrounding Inland Empire — consistent with the segment’s expectations for a midsize three-row.
Cargo Capacity
Cargo flexibility is one of the Pathfinder’s stronger arguments — the cabin reconfigures quickly between passenger duty and hauling duty:
| Configuration | Cargo Volume |
|---|---|
| Behind 3rd Row | 16.6 cubic feet |
| 3rd Row Folded | 45 cubic feet |
| Both Rear Rows Folded (Maximum) | 80.5 cubic feet |
Nissan’s EZ FLEX second-row system slides and tilts forward to open access to the third row, and on most configurations it works even with a child seat installed in the outboard position. Tri-zone automatic climate control comes standard across every trim, with rear ventilation ducts to keep airflow consistent for passengers in the second and third rows during the warm Inland Empire summers.
Advanced Interior Features by Trim
Every 2026 Pathfinder — from the entry-level S to the top-shelf Platinum — comes standard with the new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tri-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights, and Nissan Safety Shield 360. Comfort, audio, and tech amenities then layer on as you move up the lineup:

What Each Premium Package Adds
For SV, SL, and Rock Creek shoppers who want top-trim conveniences without stepping up to the Platinum, the Premium Package on each trim is the one option to know about — and the Rock Creek Premium Package is new for 2026:
| Package | Available On | Key Adds |
|---|---|---|
| SV Premium Package | SV | Panoramic moonroof, wireless charging, heated steering wheel, second-row climate controls, two 12V outlets, tow hitch with 7-pin harness (upgrades towing to 6,000 lbs) |
| SL Premium Package | SL | Bose 13-speaker premium audio, quilted leatherette seating, panoramic moonroof, heated 2nd row outboard seats, tow hitch (upgrades towing to 6,000 lbs) |
| Rock Creek Premium Package (new for 2026) | Rock Creek | Panoramic moonroof, wireless charging, heated steering wheel, 12V cargo-area outlet |
On the safety side, Nissan Safety Shield 360 — including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and high beam assist — is standard across the lineup. ProPILOT Assist, which adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane-centering, starts on the SV trim. The SL and Platinum step up to ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, which uses navigation data to adjust speed for curves and exits.
2026 Pathfinder Trim Lineup & Pricing
The 2026 Pathfinder is offered in five trims. Front-wheel drive is standard on every trim except Rock Creek (which comes exclusively with Intelligent 4×4); AWD is a $2,000 option on the rest. Verified starting MSRPs (excluding destination, tax, and fees):
| Trim | Starting MSRP (FWD) | Drivetrain |
|---|---|---|
| S | $38,995 | FWD standard / AWD +$2,000 |
| SV | $41,395 | FWD standard / AWD +$2,000 |
| SL | $43,995 | FWD standard / AWD +$2,000 |
| Rock Creek | $46,495 | Intelligent 4×4 standard |
| Platinum | $50,896 | FWD standard / AWD +$2,000 |
S Trim
The entry point, focused on essentials. Powered by the 3.5L V6 and 9-speed automatic with FWD standard, the S includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, tri-zone climate, LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, cloth seating, and 8-passenger bench seating. Towing is rated at 3,500 pounds. For Inland Empire families looking at a sub-$40K three-row that keeps all the latest-generation Pathfinder tech, this is the value play.
SV Trim
The volume seller, and the trim most reviewers single out as the best balance of price and equipment. The SV adds a power liftgate, heated front seats, ProPILOT Assist, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and upgraded interior trim over the S. The available SV Premium Package layers in a panoramic moonroof, wireless charging, second-row climate controls, heated steering wheel, and tow hitch receiver — bumping towing capacity to 6,000 pounds.
SL Trim
The premium step. Standard equipment includes TailorFit leatherette seating, the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Intelligent Around View Monitor, and wireless charging. The SL Premium Package adds the Bose 13-speaker premium audio, panoramic moonroof, heated second-row outboard seats, heated steering wheel, and the 6,000-pound towing upgrade. Captain’s chairs are optional.
Rock Creek Trim
The off-road-styled trim, and the only one with mechanical changes worth calling out. Standard equipment includes Intelligent 4×4, an off-road-tuned suspension with 7.7 inches of ground clearance, 18-inch beadlock-style wheels with all-terrain tires, leatherette seats with heated fronts, blacked-out exterior accents, a tubular roof rack, and an upgraded V6 tune producing 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque — the only Pathfinder trim to receive the upgraded engine. Standard towing is 6,000 pounds.
Platinum Trim
The top of the lineup. Builds on the SL with semi-aniline leather seats featuring the 2026 quilted pattern, climate-controlled front seats, the Bose 13-speaker system standard, panoramic moonroof, Head-Up Display, motion-activated hands-free liftgate, 20-inch wheels, memory settings for the driver’s seat, an 8-way power passenger seat, power-folding mirrors, ambient interior lighting, and the new wood-tone interior trim added for 2026. Standard 6,000-pound towing.
Drivetrain: Is All-Wheel Drive Standard?
All-wheel drive is not standard on the 2026 Pathfinder. FWD is standard on the S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims, with Intelligent 4×4 available as a $2,000 option on each. The Rock Creek is the exception — it comes exclusively with standard 4WD.
When equipped, Nissan’s Intelligent 4×4 automatically distributes torque between the front and rear axles based on traction demand. The system pairs with a seven-mode rotary drive selector (Auto, Eco, Tow, Sport, Sand, Mud, Snow) that lets drivers tune the Pathfinder’s behavior to conditions — useful for occasional weekend trips into the San Gabriels or for handling wet I-10 / I-15 commutes after a winter storm.
EPA-Estimated Fuel Economy by Trim
| Trim & Drivetrain | EPA-Est. City MPG | EPA-Est. Highway MPG | EPA-Est. Combined MPG |
|---|---|---|---|
| SV / SL / Platinum (FWD) | 21 | 27 | 23 |
| SV / SL (4WD) | 21 | 26 | 23 |
| Platinum (4WD) | 20 | 25 | 22 |
| Rock Creek (4WD) | 20 | 23 | 21 |
For most Inland Empire driving, the FWD Pathfinder will handle daily duty without compromise. The AWD version is the right call for shoppers who tow regularly, take frequent trips into the mountains, or simply want the added stability margin.
